The
First Dog Training Club of Northern New Jersey is a not for profit
organization founded in 1935. We are one of
the oldest training clubs in the United States and a member of
the American Kennel Club since March 11, 1947. Every year, we host
Obedience and Rally trials in March, Obedience and Rally trials in
July, and Novice Obedience trials (all Novice classes) in October.
We also offer AKC CGC/CGCA, Trick Dog, Fetch and Temperament tests
and Bright & Beautiful Therapy Dog Tests throughout the year, as
well as hosting an NACSW ORT Test and an AKC Scent Work trial. Check

Our members all share a
common love of dogs and a desire to promote responsible dog
ownership through our training classes. We offer basic training as
well as advanced and competition training in the sport of Obedience,
Rally, Conformation Show Handling, and K9 Nose Work.
Our instructors are all actively training and showing their dogs, and have earned a multitude of Obedience, Rally and Conformation titles as well as having achieved well behaved dogs that are wonderful companions and a pleasure to live with.
Come train with us. We offer daytime and evening dog training classes year round, in our fully matted air conditioned and heated facility in Bergen County. All breeds and mixed breeds are welcomed.
